Default where is the Logan Martin experts????

OK so me my son his buddy and I guy i work with went Friday shot piers and did very well. Have been shooting piers for the past 2 months almost and have done really well at times and decent at others. Fishing the same ones and scouting new ones in the process. Trying to only fish piers and having the best luck where the front of the pier is in 10-14 fow.

That being said took the wife and boy early Monday morning to beat the boater crowd and caught 4 fish 2 which were crappie and only one of those where Keepers.

What's changed? With the boat traffic I'm thinking about hanging it up because I barely have enough time to fish and Logan Martin is the closest lake so I fish there as much as possible But it's so freaking busy this time oF year.

Can I g please get a few opinions? Keep shooting piers? Start long lining, spider rigging, trolling whichever you want to call it???

And if I go to trolling how deep and where is a good start.. yesterday blew my mind and waso quite dissapointing because the wife fin ally got to go and well we didn't do good at all....

Docks are best later in the day. You where to early. Also if you don't want to fight the traffic you can try night fishing.

Haven't had any luck night fishing on logan. I'd have a lot more chances to fish if I would night fish though lol. Any recommendations for night fishing on logan martin? Clear creek bridge?

I would not fish the bridge to many people. Try the creek channels closer to the river. I use green lights. Some times the river channels are good too.

Just anchor down at the mouth of a creek over some kind of structure and throw out some lights?

If you can find a hump or brush that's great. I look for the same places you would spider rig.

OK cool. Thanks. I'm new to spider rigging to. Have my boat set up for it just haven't been but once. Need to find someone to let me tag along on one trip and see how it's supposed to be done and what to look for on the fish finder.

Could also try out from some of the docks you normally fish. The best night trip we had on Logan come from a a dock that had lights on it.

I've thought about that too. I've been wanting to take a night trip soon. Gonna have to try and see.
