I'll second that. I'm all the time saving minnows from Sunday throught the week till the next weekend. Right now i'm using a 5 gal bucket with a bubble box on it and I change the water about every three days.
I'm on the hunt for an aquarium though. What's everyone else using to hold minnows?? Any secrets or tips?

I did notice last week that I had some about a week old and they were just wore out. They wouldn't live very long once on the hook. Didn't slay the fish either. May not be worth the effort.

I don't keep minners or minnows in nothing but my regular minner bucket once the daytime temps start staying between 35 and 60 in the late fall and all of winter .I can keep as many as 3 or 4 doz up to 2 or 3 weeks in it or until hopefully I have to buy more. I keep them outside in the shade by the wall and if its going to get 28 or lower will set them inside the door for the night but back out in the morn to keep them from freezing up. Once the water gets below 60 they pretty much have such a slow metabolism that they don't need a bubbler at least for me they havent and I have been doing this for years. On the flip side of this if for some reason we hit a good warm spell and it goes up into the 70's I slide them in the fridge thru the day then back out in the evening HA .Not sure you married guys could get away with that !!!
