coming to weiss for first time!

Im coming to weiss friday the 24th,staying at little river marina. This will be my first time even seeing this lake. Im bringing my trolling equipment as a last resort,but would rather shoot docks or cast jigs into treetops or other cover. Can someone please give me some hints as to what areas to try? Or p.m. me a couple spots? I'll gladly return the favor if you ever come to a middle Ga lake for crappie or catfish.

best bet will be trolling or fishing minnows on edge of river channels. Little river and little spring creek are closet to where you are staying and may be your best bet. I hear they are catching some fish on the lower end of the lake, Bay springs and church house cove. If youve never been on Weiss be careful the lake is still very low and it is easy to tear up some stuff if you don't know where to run. Good luck to you

Thnaks man,I probably won't venture out to far from the marina and will just idle along. I got a couple good leads via pm to some spots close by.
