i do have something i have been wondering about the situation, if they penalize auburn , should they not also penalize mississippi state because thats the school it was suppose to have happened at initially
Why would you think they would penalize MS State? MS State reported the pay to play bid to the NCAA. Cam Newton plays for Auburn not MS State. Just not sure why you think they would penalize MS State.
Here is the bad part of the whole thing. It is like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. The way the SEC rules are written, they were definately broken. According to the rules as they are written, Cam Newton should not be playing at all. There is no way you can mis-interpret the way they are written. The NCAA has decided since there is no proof that Cam or Auburn knew about it, then there is no bounds for punishment. The rule was put in place to prevent this exact thing from happening, that is what critics are mad about. It is like saying ok parents, go shop your kids around for money, and as long as they are not aware of it, as long as a 3rd party does it then you can not be disqualified and neither can the school get in trouble. The rule was put in place to prevent exactly what has happened. It did not prevent it and now it is not upholding it. What makes it bad is, how can you punish the athlete for something their parents do without your knowledge, that is unfair to the athlete if they honestly do not know. If Cam knows nothing about it I feel he should not be punished. However by not punishing him is breaking the rule that was set out to prevent this from happening. It is like being stuck between the right thing to do and the right thing to do. My only thing is, I believe with all my heart he knew very well what his dad was doing, and that is sad because I think he is an AWESOME player and wish that none of this was an issue at all. Even if they cannot and do not prove it, it will always leave a bitter taste in my mouth about him because I think he is guilty. I am a Bama fan but I want Auburn to win and I hope the best for Cam.
I am a South Carolina fan and i am 100% behind what you said. Cam is one of the best you will ever see in the game except (not sure about this)--->he. If he did not know, then why did he call his old coach from Fla., who is now at Miss. State, and say he was going to Auburn because his father said, "the money was too much"?
Now then. Here's the corrected version. Tell the third grader who wrote the first draft to cut and paste the corrected version and he or she will most likely get an A in English class tomorrow.
Seriously dude, you need to come up with some new material to talk about, or better yet, go back over to the SC board and wallow in the misery of knowing that the best team in SC history got absolutely annihilated and held to a whopping 17 points by a team that....LOL!.... doesn't even play defense. You guys have the best running back and best receiver in the entire conference and together they managed about 120 yards of offense on the worst Auburn defense in 30 years.....bwah ha ha ha ha.

Kenny Rogers is a MS. State booster and he, John Bond, and Bill Bell discussed a pay for play scheme with Cecil Newton. I do have a question. How did Kenny Rogers know to go to Bill Bell for money?
