Guntersville With A Friend
This is from Saturday morning fishing with my 3 year old. She wanted to show her fish off to mommy, so I talked her into just keeping 4 for a meal. She normally holds them herself but one "bit" her, so she got a scared. She gave daddy a run for the money, minners outshined the jigs for the most part. We caught about 25 between us (just 1 under 9 inches) in just the early hours (we used the light for an hour and then a couple of hours at dawn) and brought these 14.5 inchers home to cook up. They were 6 foot down at first, then dropped to about 18. Surface temp was 58. She's no stranger to crappie fishing, last year she was featured on WAFF-TV 48 when she caught her limit of 30 monsters at G-ville. Still using the same Dora rod and Zebco reel combo, just some new line from the summer bass fishing adventures. She was fishing straight down, but you should see her bass fish with a wacky worm, talks to it and has a special jiggle retrieve that drives 'em crazy!
