I haven't heard anything but Saban will sit him until he is cleared. If you get a chance check out JOX 94.5. I like the opening drive and round table but Finebaum has went down hill a little bit.

yes I am sure Saban will not make any mistakes and will keep him out until he is cleared. However I have seen posts where people are mentioning he will be in the lilneup so I am confused. We cannot afford to lose him for the season.

Should hear something around Wed or Thur. That's when Mark and Julio heard last year for the fishing trip. I think Marcell will be OK from an NCAA standpoint, but Saban may suspend him one game at the most.

rivals finally posted something today about this situation. here it is.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP)—Alabama is still awaiting word on the status of defensive end Marcell Dareus.

The NCAA is investigating a trip taken by Dareus to Miami’s South Beach. The top-ranked Crimson Tide is set to open the season against San Jose State on Saturday night.

Asked Monday about Dareus, coach Nick Saban said he has “enough issues and problems to deal with without answering hypothetical questions.”

But he also says the Tide has other players who can play and who are ready to go. Sophomore Undra Billingsley is listed as Dareus’ backup, followed by redshirt freshman Darrington Sentimore.

Sophomore Damion Square is the backup to Luther Davis on the other side.

Dareus was defensive MVP of the national championship game against Texas.

I can't wait. I am going to sink a few condos a little before daylight and fish a few hours and hurry home to start grilling and drinking some Colorado Kool Aid.[Coors Light]

Saban said Marcell was cleared to take the trip to Florida to began with.Is far is the sports agents go they were not supposed to be there. From what i'm hearing Marcell is good to go..
Sports agents now use runners for their dirty work such is friends of team mates and family members of the team mates from other schools..

Looks like Marcell took TWO trips. Sounds like he's lucky to just miss 2 games.
