Thread: Friend in Need

Hi everyone, Mike Posey, a member of the Coosa River Crappie Club and great crappie fisherman had a very serious motorcycle accident in March. He has been hospitalized every since and needs our help. We are planning a benifit tournament for him in the next few weeks. Right now, the plans are to hold the tournament on Neely Henry Lake and all proceeds will go to Mike and his family. I have started contacting people to seek donations for the winner and try to give ALL of the entry fees to Mike and his family. I have already had some great response from Scott Echols, Jerry Culberson and Earl Brink. At this time, the plan is to give the winner, the majority of the prizes. I am also planning on selling Hot Dogs and Hamburgers and all of the proceeds will go to Mike.

WHAT I NEED IS IDEAS, DONATIONS, AND HELP

Anyone wishing to donate, help, or participate, please contact me! This is important to me and many others and it will help a friend and brother fisherman.

Dont know if I will have a boat by then or not but if so I will plan on fishing with you guys. Also at your convienance could you pm me some info on your club? I just moved to Sylacauga and will be starting my new job there a week from today. Im hoping to start fishing with a local club this fall if I can find one.

Don't know for sure, we should have that finalized by the end of the week. Probably 40 to 50 dollars

His name is jigdragger..What i want to do is get a bunch of us to send 10 jigs to me... Then what we are palnning on doing is haveing a little auction to help offset some bills..or just help alittle...From what i understand he was in a motorcycle wreck, a day or 2 after a crappie fishing tournament. I know some guys on the alabama forum is wanting set up something so i think this will help some..... There is 2 auctions in the talk for this..1 on crappie.com and 1 at their tournament....Check back for details.....And let me know who is interested thank you......just put a post in the main forum if interested thanks guy......

I have left over fleece jackets from a project that I did for one of my clients and can donate them for this cause. mix sizes and they are embroidered with the companys logo and event information but they are brand new on the package, maybe you can sell them or give to all that participate, pm me and we can work out the details of pick up or something.

Folks, In the short time since I posted this, I have been so proud to be associated with everyone, I have had calls, offers of donations, help with spreading the message. You folks are the best. I will post the plans by the end of the week, but again, Thank all of you
