    Default Bridges in Guntersville

Was out yesterday and managed to catch 15 fish, only 3 of which were short. The amount of bait and shad was unreal, the water was constantly popping with them. Got up under the bridge at the pumphouse at first light in the morning and did relatively well early, but it slowed quiet a bit after 1000. Left around 1400 and folks were starting to show up then. Guess it must be an evening/night bite from the folks we saw starting to hit the water later in the day. Caught my fish on a 1/16 jig with albino shad mostly. One or two came from a minnow under a cork. Good quality fish though. Ought to be a great year from the looks of the fish so far this fall.

I was out this weekend too. Bridges were elbow to butthole but I waited my turn and boated 20 nice ones sunday morning/afternoon. Only had one short one, the rest were very nice 1.5 to 2 lb range on average.

I caught them on minnows and saw other guys doing well on jigs.

The fish I caught were about 15 ft deep.

Most of the fish I caught were on a jig. Seemed like the crappie that were feeding were just below the shad at about 6-7 feet.

Went out last night to give it another shot at night. Well, the place was dead. Everyone I ran into was moving to different places trying to find the fish. The water had dropped a good 12-14 inches and with the incoming front, the barometer was also dropping. Nothing happening at all last night on the bridges, hit several of them with nothing to show for it. Rember folks, that's why we call it fishing and not catching!! But, I had fun and went anyway.

Yep fishing not catching is right. But the worst day ever fishing was way better than the best day I ever had working.

The weather should be better later this week, I think I feel a fever coming on (cough cough) better let the boss know I might not make it in Thursday or Friday. Smile.

    Good luck

We fished for about 4 hours last night only kept 3 fish. The water was really low i wonder what the deal was with that? May be a week or more before i,ll be able to get on the water again maybe by then they,ll really be turned on.
