    Default Weiss Lake Trip

I am planning on coming to Weiss Lake 10/17-22 to jig fish docks. Does anyone know how the front and rain is impacting the lake conditions? Should I put my trip off by a week to give the lake a chance to stabilize?
I want to make the most of my time down there since I only get down there a few times a year.
    Any input would be appreciated.

Lake is a foot over full pool and is very red. Rain the rest of this week and it looks like no rain next week. . hopefully it will begin to clear by the end of next week

Just returned from Weiss yesterday and all of our fish was caught on river channel ledges in 13' of water with cover. We did manage a few back in the creek but much better bite was on the ledge using minnows.

Thank you all for your feedback. I think I'll push back my trip a week.
Dr. John- God has blessed me beyond what I deserve. He has provided all my needs and a whole lot of wants along the way. Usually, I would not have as much flexibility with my time off once it is scheduled. However, most of the group that I work in has used their vacation, therefore it is not so much impact when I take off.
    God Bless,

    Default Weiss conditions

Little River, Yellow Creek and Cowan are fairly clear. Fish are biting on docks, 2 here, 1 there, etc. Went tuesday morning for 1/2 day kept 18 nice keepers, caught another 25 that were released. Main river is muddy.

Sunny, cool weather, with some wind is forecast for this weekend.
If not fishing the Alabama State Crappie tournament on Weiss this Saturday, come to weigh-in at Jr's Marina at 3:00 pm to see how good the
    fishing is.
Take a Kid fishing, keep only enough to eat, and release the rest to spawn again. Pop
