    Default Beef/Deer Jerky Recipes?

I recently bought a dehydrator and I am looking for recipes. Please share yours!

The spicy jerky is more my taste. (Not to hot though)

Look at Cabelas they have all kinds of jerky flavors in lil per mixed boxes for $6 makes 15lbs of meat. It has packs pre measured for 5lb batches. I would do what ever flavor I wanted and only use 11lb of meat. There's cure packs in it also only use two of them for 11lb meat. That's easiest most consistent way I've been able to make it. Add lil cayenne in marinade for spice.

I bought a jerky board on eBay for $25 its white like cutting board plastic. I use electric knife to slice it. Works better than slicer unless its real expensive one and meats really cold.

A friend and I used to make deer jerky every year before he passed away. We used Dales or Moore's marinade, Garlic powder and crushed red pepper for the heat. Always turned out good. The Dales will be saltier than the Moore's. I liked the Dale's he liked the Moore's, so we always made both. Just be sure to cut the meat thin and across the grain.

Tony char ? Rub I don't no how to spell it. Soak in Apple cider vinger, lemon juice, and garlic butter. The kids in the neighborhood ask for all the time. If you want a little hot. Use cayenne pepper when laid out on dehydrator. But very little. It gets hot !

Missed the 2014 season due to broken leg. Made up for it this season. A XBow doe and 2 8 Point bucks w/7mm-08. Deer 1 was Summer Sausage/back straps. #2 was Back Straps, sausage and Jerky cut. #3 was Jerky cut and Back Strap. I have found that Alegro Marinades do a great job on my jerky. Game Tame is one, Hot and Spicy is another. I do a gallon Zip lock bag of meat+ 1 bottle of marinade for a couple days in the refrigerator manipulated to insure contact. Excellent results. Can leave longer a bit-OK. Put in Dehydrator until done to your specs. I have only gotten rave reviews!
