Default Coming to Weiss

My family and I are going to spend a few days vacationing at Weiss over Labor Day. Is anyone doing any night stalking for crappie. If so, any info about night fishing Weiss would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Hey John,
Maybe try the bridge there at Cowan creek or go towards the back in about 10 to 12 feet of water. Thinking most of them are on the ledges of the main river channel. Where are you staying??
I have not fished Weiss since June but plan to start up again near the end of Sept ,or first of Oct.
Have a freind on the lake that said I can keep my boat at his place so I don't have to tow it over from Atlanta all the time
This will help me out big time!!!

Thanks for the info Laserdoc! We're staying at Chesnut Bay Resort. Sounds like you've got a great friend there on the lake.
I'm also planning a trip down in late October to fish with guide Mark Collins.
Looking forward to being on Weiss again.

Default Weiss visit

Chesnut Resort is on Yellow Creek - near the mouth entering the Coosa river. Good area for night fishing under lights in about 20 ft. of water, just a few hundred yards from resort area. Look for other night fishing anglers in area. Also try shooting jigs under docks and minnows in tree tops and around deep docks in Yellow Creek, Big Nose and Little Nose, and Bay Springs area, all are close to Chesnut Resort. Good luck

Thanks for the great info, Pop.
I'll certainly give all those tactics a try.
