Default Guntersville 16 Oct

Managed to get out and do a little fishing in the morning for my first trip out this fall. It was cold and the wind did not help any. Managed 14 keepers from the bank on jigs. 1/16 red head with chartruese tail. Seemed the fish that bit were in 6 feet of water suspended in the creek channel. Most fish were about 10" but managed one nice 14. Needed some fresh fish for a fish fry so this worked out just right. Believe it will only get better from here.

I was up around Scottsboro. I was surprised that with all the rain of late the water was not too badly stained. I guess all the hydrilla was filtering it out.

DrJohn, I hated that 15 fish limit, had that limit many times in 15 casts. It was a task at times as well.

Yes, but we have to do something in TN. to get the population back up as a lot of "not so sportsmen" kept a lot of catches of small fish in the 100+ per day range in the 1980's and 1990's.....If I catch 15 nice slabs per person in my boat...I'm OK with that.
