Alligator snappers are getting to be rare these days , mankind is cruel in general to most of the reptiles we encounter, timber rattlesnakes are in trouble and so are canebrakes , along with eastern diamondbacks…. Many species that used to be commonplace are not around anymore…. We used to have an over abundance of horned lizards aka horny toads...
