Here's the deal !
Here's the deal.................. water was between 73 / 74 degrees and windy, but plenty of places to get out of the wind. My brother-in-law, Don, and I bagged 9 keepers and 2 dinks the largest was 13 1/4", and we lost at least that many. Don caught a 3lb bass on a green (tipped) tube also. We fished 5 to 7' of water trolling at 1.2 mph. We used every color curly tails and tubes in the box mostly tipped. The clouds and bright sun alternated so often you couldn't stick with a certain color. The best bite seemed to be on tubes (blue/red/green) and when we were going into the wind. I think we got lucky in finding them because I think they've grouped up some and aren't scattered so much.
We had a great time fishing and the food was great also. We didn't actually have a weigh-in because we were the only boat to bag any out of four boats. I guess it was dissapointing to some from that perspective, but I've been there before too. I'm feel bad that everyone didn't load their buckets, but the gathering was very nice and there was even fish left over. To me it's all about the fellowship and that was great as usual !
