Those 'Gills have your number.
"If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got!" Change something you are doing when you are not happy with the results.... Speed, Presentation, color etc. Most of all
have CONFIDENCE in what you are doing.
I always tip a tiny 1/64 or 1/80 jig or a plain #6 hook with a waxworm and do pretty well when chasing 'Gills. If they are in deep H20 use a modified Ky rig. If they are shallower, a slip bobber presentation works fine. Just slow down the retrieve and let the 'Gills inspect the meat for "Expiration date." They need time to read the barcodes on the lure.
