Yes.. I know..they told me to fish deep here in ohio also the crappie go deep in cold water... I have not missed a week end since Christmas. up to today the air temp been around 34F. with 15 to 40+mph winds.. the coldest day was 18F. the warmest was 41F. the water temp been 35-39F for the last two weeks, we been catching 70+ every Sunday & again on Mondays.. most of the crappie are coming in 3 to 7 feet. under a cork, on the colder day there 5 to 9 feet deep..IT WILL WORK most crappie fishermen don't try it. because they read a book about winter fishing..
