Default Back from Talquin

I made the trip to Talquin this weekend to look at a camper that I was interested in buying. It wasn't exactly what my wife and I was looking for so we set out on an "expedition". Fishing camps are far and few between at Talquin and having a camper set up there permanently is almost unheard of except at The Lodge. No wonder there is such a long waiting list!! After coming up empty by sundown, we found a Cracker Barrel and had supper. Didn't get much sleep last night thinking about coming up empty handed. This morning while I was having coffee, we found another camper that we really liked alot, but it wasn't set up on a lot. So we splurged...We bought both campers!..We are going to take the one we don't like as well off of the lot (or space) where it is sitting now and put the one we do like on that space. Then I guess the other will have to be parked somewhere with a "For Sale" sign on it. There are a lot of Deer Hunters in that area so maybe it will move quick. I'll be going back next weekend to get everything moved around and try to have it ready to move into by Labor Day weekend. We have alot of work to do and it probably cost me more than I had planned, but having a place to go to whenever you want to sure is going to feel nice.
Not too much of a fishing report...There were some good bream catches this weekend and the bass were hitting fairly well from what I heard. I didn't see much activity at the fish cleaning stations. No report of crappie biting, but I did see 2 boats trolling early this morning...Weather was fantastic this morning to be on the lake..Nice and cool
