if it is an already proven spot, do not put in a new pile within 30-40 yards. all you will do is divide the fish using them and it will take twice as long to fish them. if it has broken down, then add directly to it or right next to it. the only exception to this rule, is when someone has found it and is fishing the 1st one, then and only then, will I put in another, that close. I will then try to fish the 1st one hard to keep them thinned down to discourage the other guys from camping on it and probably release all the fish I catch on the 2nd one. this only applies to tournament spots. if it's just an eating spot, I'll just fish it like anything else and not worry about it.
