I need a recommendation on a 12v pull solenoid with about 1 inch travel. I gonna attempt to build a release for my TM. I don't really know the force needed to move the spring to release the Autopilot TM. I doubt if a door lock solenoid will do it. I don't know crap about tubular solenoids (except how they work).

Any suggestions? I gonna fall out the boat one of these days if I don't do something.
