Fished East lake Toho on Friday. Boy when that lake is tough it is tough! Caught only two specks and was off the water by 10:30. Good day fishin', Bad day catchin'. Saturday Dad and I made our way up to Tavares for the Florida crappie Association Tournament on Lake Dora. Congarts To Henry Van Curler Sr. and Henry Van Curler Jr. They won with 7lbs and 11ozs. Second was Mike Baker and third was George Parker. Dad and I was stuck in the middle with 6lbs 2oz

. We managed to catch a lotta fish but the size just wasn't there. Sunday I had a guide trip with another boat filming us for my upcomming web site. Weather rolled in and cut the day short and the bite was pretty slow. I think this phase of the moon is part of the reason along with a recent mayfly hatch. They seem to feed on the mayflies and stay away from my jigs.

I plan on being on the water this weekend and maybe once during the week.
