It was really a hassle! I have a john boat with a 40hp on it so it sits a little bit low anyway but you can't troll trough all the crap at the beginning. You have to row and push off the bottom for about 40 yards to get out in the "clear" part of the lake. It looked like it had excellent structure in it to hold crappie and we caught one little dink but didn't pick up anything on the fishfinder over the structure. There are entire trees still standing up from the bottom that have most of their branches and haven't caved in yet. I will probably hit it again in the spring before the weeds get out of hand and drop some minnows down in them. The ones with the concrete ramps have been really easy launching even though they are really short. They have a really good gravel base at the end of them to roll off onto.
