I have been a diehard Crappie chaser for years. I went to that pit this morning and had a blast. I had two bass that went close to 3lbs in the first hour. After that, top water action died off. Too mossy to try worms or crankbaits. Caught a few smaller ones with spinners. The Blue Gill didn't seem very hungry. I only caught a couple of small ones. It's the first time in a long time that I set out NOT intending to catch a couple a Crappie.
