Default Top Water ACTION!

A builder I do work for has a strip pit with 7 miles of me. The Ice storm took alot of trees and laid them out everywhere. The guy warned me about the trees so I took a fully loaded chainsaw with me. This pit has some crappie in it, but locating them is a completely different story. It's full of bass and those great big 'ol blue gill. It's hard to NOT catch one. The bass are mostly on the small end so far, 2 lb's and under. I caught several blue gills yesterday and a couple of them went close to 7/8's of a pound. I only took my little crappie box with me and had no top water baits at all. I fished a jig under a bobber and can't count the times a bass took a hit at the bobber.

Today, I stocked up on top water stuff and plan on hitting it again first light. Daddy gonna have some fun. Maybe some day, I'll be able to get a graph (or camera) in that thing and have a look for the Crappie. Till then, high water at the lakes, means fast and furious fishing at the pit.
