you might want to consider trying Roadrunners (I prefer the marabou ones, myself). If you aren't picky about what stretches your string, you'll get a lot of different species on a Roadrunner. 1/16oz is a good "all around" size ... but, 1/32oz can be deadly on Bluegill & other Sunfish.
About every species of fish that I've caught on live bait, jigs, spinners, and small crankbaits ... I've also caught on Roadrunners

Casting or trolling, they seem to work on a variety of species of fish.
