using a marabou Roadrunner, over a BeetleSpin. I've just caught more fish with a RR.
One trick I've learned, when using a marabou RR (right out of the package) ... is to trim the hair to about 1/2 the original length, between the tip of the hair and the hook bend This makes the bait smaller, true, but it also stops alot of the small fish from just nipping at the tail. It certainly hasn't stopped the Crappie and Sunfish from nailing it (or the White Bass, Black Bass, Channel Cats, Drum, Hybrid Stripers, and many other species )

what i have done from time to time is put a road runner on a beetlespin blade setup...deadly for white bass
