Those crappies won today That's all I got to say My luck was bad I'm really sad I'll fight another day
The storms just came and went My pole was never bent It blew from the East Where fish bite the least My mantle I did rent
My bones were full of chills I knew there were some thrills I went to a cove My float.., well it dove And man I caught those 'Gills
The moral of my tale Is that you cannot fail Don't sit and just mope Don't give up your hope Fill up your fishing pail
Go and try something new Fish are waiting for you Move your big boat Or fish from a float Until the sky turns blue
It was a "crappie" day Bone chilling I must say Thank God for the "Gills They gave me some thrills The crappie won today __________________ written by Michael C. Carter May 16, 2009
