When I was a kid I would go fishin with my Dad at the lake It was so fun when the biggest fish is what I would take He taught me how to cast and how to tie the hook on the line That made me proud to be the son of that Dad of mine He told me how to bait a hook and when to reel in The time to leave, I thought, had to be the biggest sin When I made good grades I would get to skip a day of school To go fishin with Dad, man that was so cool I learned a lot from Dad while fishin with him them days I pass them to my Children now and will remember them always Even though I have Children of my own I’m still a kid when fishin with Dad, even though I am grown My Children fish with Papa and they learn as I did Like put the minnow bucket back in the water and don’t forget to close the lid I love to talk with my Dad about the times that we had Because, to this day, the best times in my life were spent Fishin With Dad
