The early morning sun was rising slow Still there was a shine from last nights moon glow
The lake was quiet and still While the air was crisp with only a slight chill
I headed to my favorite fishing hole With all my tackle and New graphite pole
I tied on my proven crappie jig I call white and krystal bomb Where I learned how to ty on Crappie Dot Com
My first cast barely hit the water with a splash When my float disappeared in a flash
The New pole bent over from my catch As I reeled through the early May-Fly hatch
Closer to the boat I got, harder the fish pulled back I was thinking what a huge slab until I heard a loud crack
With much amazement I looked at my New Pole and it had snapped by far Desperately I pulled the line in hand over hand only to find a old alligator gar
