Spool your reels with Fluorescent Mono filament line Black light will make the line glow and look like the size of pencil. Some of the popular brands are Berkley which makes a great flame green fire line florescent line that works well with black light night fishing as well. The reason this particular line works so well is that the florescent coloring is not painted on the line, but rather is chemically mixed into the actual line during production, which means the color lasts much longer than other brands.

I went to Kentucky for the Fall Gathering at Big Bear Resort. I brought my daughter Jessica and my Mother. It turns out, my Aunt lives about 10 minutes from Big Bear Resort, and that's partly why I brought my mom with, to visit my Aunt. No, my 83 year old mother would not be very happy tent camping. But I did want to bring her so she could attend the Saturday night fish fry, and meet the gang.
I arrived at the campground at about 6pm Thursday night after a grueling 8 hour drive. There I met some of the Crappie.com members.

Throughout my short time of boating and fishing, I've come across more than a couple of interesting home-grown tips and tricks people use for boating and fishing. So, I though I'd start a thread to pass on a couple of my tips and tricks and hoped others would post some of theirs. So here we go... 1. When pulling up to the boat ramp, give your trailer bearings about 5 minutes to cool. Take a moment to get your boat ready for the water. If you put your boat in the water with hot bearings, it could cause problems. This tip provided by a Smithville Park Ranger that used to sell boats.
